If we tell our kids that there is a person who…

Lives way up there,

Is very old and very wise,

Can be anywhere in the world in an instant,

Can see everyone simultaeneously,

Knows everything good or bad that anyone has ever done, and will reward or punish them accordingly when the time comes,

…And we tell our kids this knowing that one day they will grow up and find out that Santa Claus isn’t real, and that we’ll have to say to them, “Well, you’re a big kid now. You should know by now that Santa Claus is make-believe,”

Then how can we expect our kids to believe us when we try to teach them that God is real?

That’s why you used to cry when you sat on his knee!

  2. Yes! Thank you, I’ve been saying this for quite some time, and I really think that, despite what trouble it may cause, when I have children I’ll tell them the truth about santa.
